Simonas Vasilevičius, CEO of TRANSIMEKSA
Transimeksa, one of the leading Lithuanian logistics company groups, announces change in leadership.
Starting September 21st, Simonas Vasilevičius has been appointed as the new CEO of Transimeksa, from previously-held position as the group’s Chief Financial Officer. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial sector, Vasilevičius is responsible for the main operations of the company, day-to-day activities and decisions as well as further development.
“I’m happy to have the opportunity to continue growing at Transimeksa with the team I know well,” said Vasilevičius. “This is a new, different type of challenge. Previously, I had to look at what has already happened, analyse and evaluate results, while the new position will allow me to take action here and now. I believe that I will have many opportunities to not only put my skills to the test but also successfully expand our company further.”
Former CEO Darius Vyšniauskas remains the Chairman of the Board at Transimeksa.
“Right now, we have a young and ambitious leadership team that can achieve a lot,” said Vyšniauskas, who have held the position of CEO for 29 years. “Simonas’ competences and hard work during his years at Transimeksa as the CFO are what will help both the company and the whole team to move forward. Thus, I feel very good about making this decision.”
